Energy Modeling

BASE routinely performs building and process modeling for industrial, commercial, institutional, and municipal facilities.  These energy models simulate real world energy consumption of buildings and systems which are then used to predict energy savings for energy efficiency improvement projects. Our energy modeling services includes:

  • Title 24 Code Compliance Analysis

  • Energy Modeling for LEED Certification

  • New Construction and Existing Building Analysis for Energy Efficiency Projects

  • Development of Customized Software Modeling Tools for Industrial Systems

In addition to several internally developed custom software modeling tools, BASE engineers routinely utilize the following available software packages to perform building/process simulation and benchmarking:

  • eQuestTM, the Quick Energy Simulation Tool and eQuestTM, Refrigeration

  • CBECC-Com Nonresidential Compliance Software

  • EnergyPro

  • ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager

  • TRACETM, Trane Air Conditioning Economics

  • U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Tools: REopt™, AIRMaster+, Pump System Assessment, etc.
